Business that remained open have decried very low turnout as compared to other days.

The underlying love for football in Western Kenya was again witnessed on Friday morning as passionate fans moved in flocks to cheer on their teams as the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association ball games got into the last four round.

A sneak preview of Kakamega town by Mozzart Sport showed most of businesses in the headquarters of Western Region remained closed with those on lamenting low turn out of customers as compared to other days despite being an early morning.

"Shops are closed here and even though I have opened as usual, I haven't made enough sales as I expected. Everyone is moving to Bukhungu," offered Frank Okutoyi a business man in the area.

As one enters the stadium, a chain of motorcycles have abandoned their daily works to catch a glimpse of the semi finals with three Western ambassadors chasing a spot in the finals.

It was quite insane as fans started streaming in the stadium as early as 5am forcing the venue management to open the gates earlier and by seven it was filled to the bream

Abas Khayega an ardent Kenya football fan noted that the locals can not concentrate on their daily endeavours as Western sons and daughters were squiring out on the green grass.

"Western people love football we cannot sit down and assume nothing is going on yet our girls and boys are out there representing us. This is just a test of what to expect on the final day," said the life member AFC Leopards fan.

Two matches are scheduled for the venue which is still under construction with a repeat of the regional finals as Francis Muhambe's Madira squire out against Butere football power house Red Commandos a match that Commandos were ahead one nil by the time of reporting.

The match will curtain rise an epic encounter as Solidarity Boys face nationals newbies Shanderema in the second semi final with East Africa ticket at the stake.
